Support our Forgotten Sisters in prison this Ramadan

Helping Muslim sisters in prison

Forgotten Sisters was founded in 2018 and became apart of the SPOT umbrella in 2020 in order to help Muslim sisters in prison during the blessed month of Ramadan.

Our aim has been to provide sisters in prison with a balanced and clean 100% halal diet for Iftar, Suhoor, Eid Celebrations and Educational resources. All donations raised will be distributed to 3 women’s prisons in the south of England.

Gateway Project

Post Prison Release

To provide holistic support, advice and guidance to women upon their initial release from prison. We will help guide and provide access to the necessary services. We aim to empower & enable service users to re-establish themselves in the community and become contributing members of society once again. We intend to support women as they build their confidence and take control of their lives.

Rejected by their families and communities

Upon release from prison many women especially those from ethnic minority backgrounds end up being rejected by their families and communities for a number of reasons. We aim to provide our sisters with a helping hand from the very first day they leave the prison by providing the following:

£200 grant, food & clothes vouchers, sanitary & toiletry products, monitoring and signposting referrals to relevant agencies.
